Focus on Singapore: 6 good reasons to visit the Lion City

It represents one of the core destinations of business travel. It is one of the places to visit in 2017. It is Singapore, «a ruled by unusual and unexpected balances microcosm where present and past joins creating a human and landscape variety able to surprise and to fascinate», as written by the Singapore Tourism Board, Singapore’s Tourism Institution.
State-city located in the South end of the Malaysian Peninsula, in the Pacific Asia region, Singapore rises on a diamond-shaped island and it counts 60 islets off the southern cost. That is why Singapore is better known also as the Asian Diamond.
It is also known as the City of the Lion, denomination whose origins are linked to a Malaysian legend: Sang Nila Utama, Sumatra’s prince, unloaded on the island after a storm, met a strange animal that identified as a lion. This meeting was for the prince such a good omen that he founded a city, Singapura that in Sanskrit means exactly city of the lion. It is more probable that, in reality, the animal was a Malaysian tiger.
The Singapore Tourism Board suggests 6 reasons to visit the Asiatic city in 2017:
1. The iconic architecture
Those who love architecture absolutely must reach the new district of Marina Bay, where you can admire the majesty and the futuristic design of the buildings, such as the Esplanade and the Art Science Museum.
2. The family-friendly attractions
They go along with the family-friendly above attractions, the theme parks in Singapore. Who wants to project himself within some of the most popular animated films, should not miss the Universal Studios of Singapore. However, those who want to have fun in the water, should make a stop at the Wild Wild Wet. And then there is the Haw Par Villa, a park based on the Chinese mythology.
3. The islands off the coast
Singapore is also sea, sun and relax. Just reach some of the islands off the southern coast : Sentosa, Pulau Ubin, Kusu Island and Sisters Island.
4. All-year-long shopping

In Singapore there are lot of places and occasions to to stay up late in a disco, in a pub or in a club. The reference area is Clarke Quay. Those who love dance music cannot miss especially the party organized at Siloso Beach, the liveliest beach on the island of Sentosa.
